The Pinta and Nina, two Columbus replica ships, are currently docked in Panama City Marina and can be toured for just $8 per person.
The Nina is the most historically accurate Columbus replica ship ever built. It is a floating museum, visiting ports throughout the Western hemisphere. The Niña was built completely by hand and without the use of power tools.
The Pinta, recently built in Brazil, is a larger version of the archetypal caravel and offers larger deck space for walk-aboard tours and has a 40 ft air conditioned main cabin down below with seating. Pinta is available for private parties and charters.
Says the Both The Niña and Pinta will be touring together as a new and enhanced ‘sailing museum’, for the purpose of educating the public and school children on the ‘caravel’, a Portuguese ship used by Columbus and many early explorers to discover the world.
The ships will be available to view from 9am til 5pm through February 20th. Cost is $8 for adults, $7 for senior citizens, $6 for students 5-16 and free for children under five. Visit the ships website to learn more.
